Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing
DIT-MCO’s Special Products Group (SPG) not only manufacturers electrical wiring harnesses but can build fiber optic cables as well. The SPG fully equipped clean room for fiber optic cabling includes:
- Air controlled room with 1 micron filter system
- Cutting table for any fiber type
- Preparation station for initial fiber operations
- Controlled temperature cure oven
- MC12 Polishing station form NanoMeter
- Automated interferometric microscope to evaluate geometric surface shape
- Clean blast station to clean ferrule at each operation with a 400/1

- Centrox-com computerized system to measure concentricity between fiber and outside ferrule diameter
