New EasyMate Connector

New EasyMate(TM) Connector

Flexible

Adaptation from test equipment to your product under test just got simpler. EasyMate will accommodate standard and ribbon-type cables.

Affordable

Unlike other connectors, the EasyMate is configured in 10 point increments which reduces wasted test points and results in lower cost. Build your connectors from 10 up to a maximum of 250 contact points. And simplification of adapter cable design is realized due to the cost efficient design of EasyMate.

Built to Last

EasyMate is manufactured with a robust metal body to resist damage and withstand rough treatment. Operators will also appreciate the quick insertion with one downward motion which locks into position and is easily and quickly removed by opening the bottom latch.

STAC Connector

STAC Connector

Building custom interface connectors is easier and economical, thanks to DIT-MCO's modular STAC Connector. STAC - Special Test Adapter Connector - allows users to build interface connectors in 5-pin increments using commercially-available pins.

Interface cables and connectors are essential to efficient test set-up and use of connector capacity. Using test points efficiently helps streamline test set-up and control the cost of electrical testing. Ultimately, the key to building good interface cables and connectors is to balance two objectives: tailoring a connection to the specific UUT, and using as many pins in the connector as possible.

With these modular STAC connectors, you can tailor the connector to the size you need - you're not wasting pins like you might with larger, fixed standard-size connectors. What's more, you're not creating a lot of unique, dedicated connectors.

With the STAC connector, users assemble 5-pin STAC modules on to a "base" connector, which can be as small as 10 pins, and then expand in 5-pin increments up to 35 points. The individual connectors are plugged into the 400- or 500-point STAC interface panel.

The advantages of the STAC connector surpass cost-effectiveness:
  • Plastic housing is both lightweight and rugged to withstand the rigors of electrical testing.
  • Connectors stand up to high voltage testing - the dielectric breakdown voltage between contacts is 2500VAC.
  • Low contact resistance minimizes wear and tear from friction.
  • Molded, strain-relief handle improves usability and reduces wear and tear on the connectors.
STAC Interface Module An automatic pneumatic extraction option uses compressed air to reduce wear and tear on the connector-cable handle even further by providing quick disconnect of multiple cables. Even when you have numerous small connectors that you plug in during test set-up, you can unplug up to 500 test points in one smooth motion.

Rack mounted 2115 with STAC interface module for 3,000 test points
This application utilized 6 rows of 500-point STAC interface modules for a total of 3,000 test points. The extended shelving of the modules supports the connectors while reducing the strain from heavy cabling. The rack mounted Model 2115 test system provided easy hookup while maintaining its compact design. Optional flat panel monitor and laser printer completed the package.
