Device Code
C .1A <2.5R .001T .005S
Device codes define which instrument to use for a test. The following table defines common device codes in NETS.
| Device Code | Test Instrument |
|---|---|
| SMU | Standard Measurement Unit |
| HIP | DC Dielectric Detector (HiPot) |
| DIE | AC Dielectric Detector |
| CAP | Capacitance Detector |
| DIODE | Diode Test (forward & reverse) |
| ZENER | Zener and TVS Diode Test |
| POD | 1553 Data Bus Pod |
The device code may be left blank if the SMU is the default device. It is used for:
- Continuity
- Resistance
- Isolation
- Insulation (leakage)
- Voltage
Since the example parameter statement uses the SMU, it is not specified; therefore, nothing is highlighted.
