Does the analyzer need a static IP address?

Not necessarily. DitNLA uses DHCP by default, and the manual identifies DHCP as the preferred method. The listed default static settings are IP address 192.168.0.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and default gateway 192.168.0.1. Consult the customer's IT department before changing network settings.
