Switching Setup Error

Cause: This error indicates a potential problem with the setup of the complete circuit of the switching system. This most frequently occurs in DIT-MCO wiring analyzers with multiple switching modules. If the cabling is incorrect, not continuous, or there is a fault in the switching, the test operator may receive this error message.

Solution: Steps to resolve the matter include:

  1. Check the cabling to the switching modules for loosening or damage, and then verify that the mating connectors are fully and firmly seated.
  2. The Distributed Switching Configuration file is set correctly for the amount of switching the system contains. This applies only to Model 26XX wiring analyzers.
  3. The system's switching is contiguous, with no gaps between modules. For example, if a user has five modules of switching and, for some reason, does not want to use module 4, the user cannot use modules 1-3 and 5. Module 5 would have to be reassigned to module 4 to operate correctly.
