Understanding DIT-MCO Addressing
Every point in a DIT-MCO switching system is identified by a unique address. Understanding how addresses are organized makes it easier to create test programs, troubleshoot wiring issues, and locate physical connections on the tester.
Address Format
A DIT-MCO address can contain up to six digits, depending on the size of the switching system.
Leading zeros are optional because NETS automatically assumes them.
For example:

Each digit within the address identifies a specific location within the switching system.
Address Numbering Rules
One of the most common questions involves the numbering of connector pins.
DIT-MCO addresses are numbered:
00 – 49
There is never a 50–99 address during normal operation.
The only exception is when performing Latching Matrix testing.
