Verification Test
This test verifies the calibration of the measurement instruments to ensure the operational accuracy of DIT-MCO’s various circuit analyzers. The calibration verification depends on the instrumentation supplied by the system. The system verification is performed using either the CVT-1 or VT-1 calibration verification tool. These tools provide resistors, capacitors, and a test program to verify the system is within specifications. The analyzer contains a Standard Measurement Unit (SMU) that should undergo a Calibration Verification Test at least quarterly.
It is important to note that the calibration verification tools do not calibrate DIT-MCO analyzers. They are designed to verify that the analyzer can measure within the stated accuracy with a voltage and current stimulus. The verification tools and associated test files help ensure test system tolerances are within stated specifications by using various resistors and a voltage divider circuit.
Refer to DIT-MCO document number 132-05950-0006: Calibration and Verification Technical Manual for detailed instructions on running this test.
