What is a four-wire or Kelvin continuity test?

A four-wire test separates the current-carrying path from the voltage-sensing path, reducing lead, switching, and adapter resistance effects. NETS enables Kelvin testing with KEL mode. Consecutive switching addresses form power and sense pairs, and adapter cabling must support Kelvin operation.
