Why might a test pass self-test but fail the actual product?

Self-test checks the analyzer and configured switching paths. A production test also includes adapter cables, fixtures, product wiring, product components, ACT mapping, test-script programming, test limits, and contact-resistance effects. A passing self-test does not prove the entire production setup is correct.
